Quartiles and Box plots

Example:
Create the boxplot and find the quartiles for the following test scores:
100, 100, 98, 95, 92, 88, 85, 84, 84, 81, 80, 77, 75, 72, 70, 70, 66, 65, 63, 60, 59, 55, 50.

Solution:
Use STAT and enter the data list.

Press "F1" (GRPH) to display the graph menu, press "F6" (SET), and then change the graph type of the graph you want to use (GPH 1, GPH 2, GPH 3) to "MedBox" graph. (To plot the data that falls outside the box, turn the outliers item "On".) And draw the graph.

To see statistical results including the quartiles and extremes, press "F1" (1VAR). Several statistics appear. Use the down arrow several times to see the quartiles.

Press "F6" (DRAW) to return to the original graph. "Trace" to read the extremes and quartiles.
