Participants will learn to use the appropriate Casio educational technology for twenty popular high school biology laboratory and field investigations. These investigations can be used with any existing high school biology curriculum and are consistent with the biology requirements in the National Science Education Standards and Benchmarks for Science Literacy .
Participants will actually do a sampling of these investigations during the workshop and will discuss the techniques for the other investigations.Participants will leave the workshop with a clear understanding of how to incorporate technology into the Biology classroom. By this method, the participants will be equipped to actively engage their students in hands-on, critical thinking, and inquiry-based Biology activities.
