Education

Tom Beatini is a math consultant in Union City, NJ.  He supports teachers at the two middle schools and the high school.  He previously taught at Glen Rock Middle-High School in Glen Rock, NJ where he taught all courses from seventh grade through Calculus.

 

Tom believes that inquiry-based hands-on instruction and the proper use of technology can motivate and encourage students to explore new concepts, make mathematical connections, and take responsibility for their own learning. 

Matthew (Matt) Goodman graduated from Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey, with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education. He is pursuing a Masters Degree at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey, in Teaching Middle Grades Mathematics.

 

Matt is a Math Teacher at Clifton High School in Clifton, New Jersey, teaching Statistics, including Advanced Placement, and Geometry. Matt is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential inside and outside of the classroom. He believes that all students can succeed with the help of an effective, confident instructor.

 

Matt looks forward to growing as an educator and learning more about he can empower his students to foster a love for mathematics.

Bruce Hartman has been a math educator in WNY for 22 years, teaching courses from 7th grade math through AP Calculus.  Prior to working in education, Bruce was a Process Engineer in the glass industry.

 

Bruce has always embraced technology while in engineering or as an educator.  Proper technology use aids student discovery and conceptual understanding.  Casio calculators have unique features to be utilized in education and are also a more cost-effective alternative to other graphing calculators.  

Mike Reiners is a teacher and principal in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has taught a spectrum of middle and high school math courses with some Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Personal Finance, Literature, Music History, Music Theory, and German thrown in for good measure. He is the co-author of Casio's Fostering Mathematical Thinking Through Music.
 

Mike served for many years as the head coach of the Minnesota All-State Math Team and as the Head Problem Writer for the MN State HS Math League. He has a passion for teaching problem-solving and problem-writing, with more than 20 years of experience leading workshops, student sessions, and professional development.

Outside of math, Mike enjoys coaching basketball, writing and arranging film music, playing and coaching chess, and Magical card games.

Teaching is a passion for Ismael (ish) Zamora. In his 25+ years as a teacher and teacher leader his passion has always been elevating student voices in a supportive classroom environment.

 

Ish believes getting students to discover math is key to getting them to live and use math. Using tools that help keep students focused on learning the math is always at the forefront of learning. Our tools should support us and not divert us. Casio makes technology with the learner in mind it supports his teaching not subverts it.
