Casio will be attending the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Conference this year in Chicago, Illinois. Expect to see many familiar faces along with some new Casio staff. We will have plenty of giveaways such as Casio branded tote bags, graphing paper sticky pads, USB squids, and fun swag such as sunglasses and perhaps even a few awesome scientific calculators.
Here are a few questions we've received:
Will there be anything new?
Yes! You'll want to visit our booth to preview some exciting new handheld graphing technology that Casio is preparing to debut next year in the United States. 😎
Will there be any contests or prizes?
Yes! This year we want teachers to sign up for our recommendation program. When you scan your badge with us on-site at NCTM, we'll set you up with your own referral code. You'll also have a chance to win $1,000 to spend at Amazon for classroom supplies or other materials. One runner-up will receive $500 to spend at Amazon. More details will be available at our booth. Winners will be announced post-conference.
What Casio products will be on display?
We had an awesome time last year at NCTM DC debuting the updates to ClassPad.net. You'll be able to explore some of the latest developments of this software as well as explore many of the graphing and scientific calculators we'll have on display. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Well, the news is in and confirmed that there will be approximately 1,500 of the fx-260 SOLAR II NF (No-Fraction-Key model) available for free at the NCTM booth. You'll definitely want to stop by to pick up your own pocket-sized scientific calculator. This model is one of my personal favorites as it contains a sleek solar panel that extends across the top of the calculator and sports the same "carbon fiber" look as the fx-CG50 grapher.
